Our team is growing, and we are seeking to hire an Inside (Desk) Adjuster.
Our ideal candidate is someone who has previously worked as a desk adjuster employee for an insurance company, however we are open to hiring someone who has no previous adjusting experience.
REQUIREMENTS Have, or be willing and able to obtain, a Texas resident Public Insurance Adjusters License.
Once hired, we will pay for your training and testing expenses if necessary.
Training/Licensing must be completed in a timely manner for continued employment.
Be able to commute to our New Braunfels office daily.
This is not a remote position.
Possess excellent customer service skills and care deeply about doing the right thing for our customers.
Be a detailed oriented person with strong organizational skills.
Able to be a calming presence when talking to people who are going through stressful situations.
Possess strong time management skills and possess the self-discipline to work efficiently without direct supervision.
RESPONSIBILITIES Work with other team members to ensure that all our clients are provided excellent customer service.
Speak with clients by phone to discuss damage to their property that may be covered under an insurance claim.
Review clients' insurance policies and endorsements and provide a thorough description of coverage and potential coverage concerns.
Work with our Field Adjusters to ensure that all properties get inspected to determine if damage was caused by a peril that should be covered under the client's policy.
Work with clients and their chosen contractor to discuss property damage and other concerns related to their insurance claim.
Obtain and interpret all pertinent claim documents from the insurance carrier, client, and contractor.
Review estimates from adjusters, estimators and/or contractors.
Communicate with insurance carrier to schedule inspections, submit claim documents, and ensure that the claim is moving towards completion.
Provide detailed reports to our office and work together with our claims team to efficiently and effectively adjust claims.
Perform other duties as assigned.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Inside (Desk) Adjuster employees must be able and willing to work at least 40 hours per week.
During times of increased activity following catastrophe weather events, you must be willing and able to work extended hours, including some weekends.
In addition, you must be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, operate a personal computer and use other common office equipment necessary to complete their duties.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
