Caring Center For Women Caring Center For Women New Braunfels, TX New Braunfels, TX Full-time Full-time $16 - $18 an hour $16 - $18 an hour Caring Center For Women is currently seeking a Full Time Medical Assistant who is able to work at our New Braunfels office.
Duties of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks:
Fulfills patient records responsibilities as assigned that may include processing benefits, uploading imaging results, completing history & physical's as pre-op appointments are approaching, answering triage calls, etc.
Fulfills patient care responsibilities as assigned that may include checking schedules and organizing patient flow; accompanying patients to exam/procedure room; assisting patients as needed with walking transfers, dressing, collecting specimens including phlebotomy, preparing for exam, etc.
; collecting patient history; checking vital signs; performing screenings per provider guidelines; assisting providers as needed; charting; medication administration; relaying instructions to patients/families; answering calls, and providing pertinent information; prescription verifications with physician's orders.
Fulfills organizational responsibilities as assigned including respecting/promoting patient rights; responding appropriately to emergency codes; sharing problems relating to patients and/or staff with immediate supervisor.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Education:
High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED), medical assistant diploma from an accredited vocational institution, or a college course in medical assisting.
Experience:
Minimum one year of recent experience working in a medical facility as a medical assistant and/or documented evidence of externship completed in a medical office.
Experience working in a OB/Gyn practice is preferred.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
